Alison King is "proud" of Coronation Street's rape storyline. The actress - who plays factory boss Carla Connor in the ITV1 soap - was sexually assaulted by her former fiance Frank Foster (Andrew Lancel) when she called off their wedding and with the trial set to begin tonight (30.01.12), Alison is pleased it has led people who have been raped to seek help.
