Coronation Street's Peter Barlow will offer to leave his wife for Carla Connor this Christmas. The boozy bookmaker- played by Chris Gascoyne - finally sleeps with the factory boss over the festive season and following their night of passion, he declares his intention to end his marriage to Leanne. He tells her: "I've fought this for months Carla, but I can't fight it any more. I've fallen in love and I want us to be together." However, when he tells Leanne (Jane Danson) he wants to leave her, she refuses to give up without a fight. She tells him: "I love you Peter and I'm not going to give up on our marriage just like that.
